I want a cake made for Beth's 18th. How far in advance do i need to order. I am guessing i can collect at our nearest Publix (Champions Gate). I have found a lovely one on their web page.

What an awesome cake.

And I thought the price was very reasonable.

we bought a baseball one for dan in the summer and it was just a plain slab cake with a figure on it and it was $30- i thought that was expensive.

Publix cakes are delicious. They also carry a variety of ready made very fancy dessert cakes in their stores. One of them is a raspberry dark chocolate ganache cake. OMG it is just too wicked good!!!!

How would you store the cake during the day. I would want to collect on the way to MK but not need it until we have dinner at Bahama Breeze in the evening. Would you put it in a cool box.

Absolutely if by cool box, you mean a cooler with ice. Do NOT leave it sitting in the car without some type of cooler/ice as it will be a melted mess when you go to get it.

You could also pick it up on the way to Bahama Breeze if you order it from the Publix nearest Premium Outlets. It's a short jaunt from there to Bahama Breeze and you'd not have to worry about coolers/ice.

All Publix do the same cakes.
