Took kiddos for a bit of splashing in the ocean yesterday...we waited till the crowds left and spent a couple hours before sunset enjoying the waves.

The smell of salt air is like nothing else on earth, I just love it. I don't think I would like living someplace landlocked, I gotta have a coastline to escape to now and then, even if it's hours away...luckily we're less than 20 minutes from this beach.

They're after me to take them back today; and if these strange cloudburst on-again-off-again rainshowers stop, I probably will. The ocean is so peaceful. *sighs*

Very nice photos! I love the ocean, mostly the smell and the sound of the waves.

i love your photos.

i love popping down to the sea for a bit of thinking space, or a blast of fresh air and don't mind the waves when i'm doing that as long as they aren't too rough....

on a winters day though when the wind is blowing and the tide is very, very high i get quite worried by it. Always have been, it's the noise and roughness of the waves.

i can't look at it when it's like that, i've even been known to cry it frightens me so much!

Lovely photos, and adorable subjects (they certainly seem to love the camera  )

There is nothing more peaceful than the shoreline...Jon and I love to walk down down to the beach in the evening and watch the sun set...it is truly salve for the bruised and beaten soul.

Have fun :hug2:

I love the sea. I would love to live near it but we are about an hour and a half away. The sea to me means freedom. You're not penned in and you can leave if you want to.

They're both a bit hammy when it comes to cameras, can you tell?

I need to get my digital camera sorted out--can't seem to find the memory card with all the good pics that need to be offloaded so I can take more pics! I'm pretty pleased with how well my phone camera managed...but man oh man was I nervous about possibly dropping it into the waves...*kerplunk, fizzle brrzzzt*
