Just saw this on Allears.net
Effective October 27, 2009, you will again be able to make Disney dining reservations 180 days in advance.

I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. I like 90 days out . It seems closer.

I have trouble deciding where we want to eat in 90 days time.
Now it seems like I`ll have to decide where to have dinner 6 months in advance. :argue: This is plain crazy IMHO.

I agree Terry. Trying to decide where you want to eat 6 months in advance is ridiculous.
There is also a rumor that a credit card is going to be needed to make ADRs. Again, just a rumor at this time, but something to keep in mind none the less.
I don't much mind making ADRs, but I do wish there were some available. Even 90 days out I've been unable to make an ADR for certain meals (and no, CRT was not one of them). Long gone are the days of walk up or spur of the moment dining with Disney.
Now, when we are strolling through the park, and we want to have dinner we head off site. I'm sure the loss of our piddly dollars won't matter a bit to WDW, but we are spending them offsite rather than with WDW simply because we can no longer find a full service restaurant on a walk up basis.

I was just getting ready to post this. Park hours will now be posted 180 days in advance as well.
The credit card guarantee is just a rumor at this time. We've not received any official word.

Well Disney have lost 2 sets of "piddly dollars Tink, as that`s exactly what we do on many occasions!
I love offsite dining and now I'll probably be loving it even more.

They don't leave us any options. :sigh: I'm not one much for counter service or fast food...
Couldn't get an ADR anywhere, in the parks or in the resorts for Herself's birthday (and yes, I tried ages ago). Needed a table for 7 and it just wasn't possible.
So, off site we go. We'll have a lovely time.

I just wish they would stop messing around with it. I also think they should keep at least 30% capacity available for walk-ins.
I don't have an issue with CC to confirm. I bet some people misuse the system, making loads of ADRs and then not turning up.

Well if they dont show up wouldnt that make it easier on someone who walks up?

i'm not sure i like 180 days out, it jus gives you too long to change your mind and mess around with your bookings, it's bad enough 90 days out
