I would urge everyone who is interested in the rights of Disabled people in this country to sign this petition. To try to stop the government taking this money and giving it to local government, So they can dispense it as and when they see fit. People who receive this money Are the ones who know best how to spend it on the things they need.

this is only 1 of the options in the big care debate consultation so is not certain to happen. Another way that you can voice your opinions is by looking at the options in this document

http://www.dh.gov.uk/prod_consum_dh/groups/dh_digitalassets/documents/digitalasset/dh_102732.pdf

and then contributing to the consultation- details below.

It would have been nice to have been told about the consultation, but i guess the government did not really want the opinion of us that live it.
I would rather cater for my daughters needs myself. We have a care package but it is so unreliable i could never leave her in their care. They turn up when they want, they take her out and do what the want with her. They can not give her medication as it illegal as she can not take it herself, it all needs to be crushed and put through her peg which they are not allowed to do.

I really wish there was something profound I could say to ease your frustration about the situation with the care package but I can't imagine what it'd be like having a care system that is so bad :(so here are a few hugs instead :hug2::hug2: :hug2:
