'No problems mate....
except th canon mp980 doesn't seem at the moment to be recognisable by snowleopard no matter what I do - it seems i am not alone from google

have you tried this, reinstall the printer driver from your mp980 install CD
Load System Preferences, select printers and fax, add a new printer +, select advanced, then more printers, canon IJ network appears in the drop down and your printer should then show up in the list. Select it and click add. All done.

Hope you get it working!
For what it's worth, I had issues with my HP MFP also. Took a sincere bit of fiddling to get everything working again. :mental:
Tom (:macwave:... I HATE it when that happens!)

It prints when I use usb no problem but the whole point of me having the 980 was that its a wirelessly networked printer that sits upstairs and all the printers in the house are connected to it that way - looks like others are having roblems with the wireless fix and some aren't - not sure what to do have uploaded all that has been suggested - it recognses the scanner as a bonjour scanner but not the printer

Did you download the latest and greatest drivers from the Canon web site? Looks like they've got a CUPS driver version (10.26.0) that says it's for Mac OS X 10.6.
Tom (:macwave:... I know... stupid suggestion... you've probably already been there, done that)

Well after a bit if fiddling and some advice from some boards we are all up and running again. Despite my initial comment it has been the easiest upgrade ever. :)
