View Full Version : 5 4 3 2 and we are live from Mexico City airport
we've been here since 6:30, it is now 9:30!!! Our flight was supposed to leave at 10, but guess what?? It got cancelled!!!!!!
So the airline wanted us to wait until tomorrow...... Ummmmm I don't think so!!! So after a few minutes of pregnancy hormones tantrum they moved us to another airline. We leave ( fingers crossed) at 11:40.
Also, they don't have a flight back on the 17th, so I will be making johnie work extra time trying to get us one more night at akl.
Talk about an interesting start!!!

Not such a good start Mari, but hey - get the worst over with before you get there and you'll be up for a fantastic time!! Have a great journey and an even more wonderful holiday - hope you get your extra day :hug2:

That's definitely not something you want to hear at the airport. I would have laughed them out of the room if they had said "tomorrow." Be safe!

Tomorrow?! They're having a giraffe! Glad you stood your ground Mari. An extra night AKL will hopeful make up for it.

I imagine she's in the air since she's supposed to land at 4pm. I've updated DME and added another night to the AKL stay. I wonder what happened with the flights?

That's so bad. Can an airline just cancel a flight whilst your at the airport. I hope she gets an extra night.

Could it have been because of the hi - jacked plane from Cancun which was diverted amd landed in Mexico City yesterday ? :unsure: Although that was yesterday . :unsure:
So, happy she's in the air and that you got her the extra night at AKL . Hope the rest of her trip is truly magical .
Yeah Johnie!!! I hope that's the only bad thing that happens on this trip!

Oh dear God....I have just about had a heart attack. I called the resort to see of they had checked in. They have been searching for the names I've given them for 20 minutes. Thank God they found them!
they are all checked in!! I didn't want to call their room since it is almost 10pm.

Good to hear that they have checked in okay.
Look at us, worrying and all.
Whew. Nice to know they are safe and sound, and hopefully snugged up getting a good rest.
Don't you just FREAK when a hotel can't find the names of people you KNOW are supposed to be there, or that you know have checked in!? :eek:

Oh yes I did freak! I even told them I had the confirmation number but the hotel siad they can't look people up by that....just last name and room number.
Sorry we had you guys worried...
We werent able to get internet ANYWHERE!! well, you could if you had cables and a pc, but we only took our iphones... so... we just couldnt :(
You are safe and sound, Mari and that is all that matters! :hug2:
