It's still there Dawn

We usually go to DQ for a few hours each trip and that's enough for me. DH likes the more modern arcade games (racing cars, star wars etc) I like the old fashioned Mr Do, Donkey Kong, QBert etc.

There are five floors in total and lots to get around....you can even make your own CD, or build your own coaster then ride a simulator of your design.

There is internet access too....and a cafe. We often see Goofy & Pluto in there too.

There are some clips fom DQ in my Downtown Disney video HERE (http://wdisneysecrets.com/forums/disney-parks-resorts/7968-downtown-disney.html)

Does anyone think this would be a good place to take my DH for an evening away from DS and grammy? My DH LOVES video games but I"m not sure if this is worth the money. I suppose I could just give him $10 to play in the arcade

Ty loves it Rosie and even Dh had a good time with him this trip and he doesn't even play video games!! Once would probably be enough unless he is really into it! The Pirate one is fun!

Disneyquest is definitely one of my favourite places to go. I love the CyberCoaster - it's the only coaster I'll go on!

And the other attractions are great too - Gareth and I can easily spend a full day there and still want more!

do you have to pay to do the arcade games?

Only a few games - the ones that give tokens to change for prizes. The vast majority are free.

Its a cool place to vosot and the boys will love it - free arcade games  and some of the VR ones are cool

TBH though with the dawn of 3rd gen consoles a lot of arcade machines can't compete with what kids have at home now so it doesn't really have a place in our schedule anymore - but its something to do of an afternoon and the cheese steak phillys are nice ther as is the cheesecake factory  oh and there are free pc's upstairs so you can log onto here and say hello

The best bit is the lift though ;)

I used to love the remote controlled cars under the floor but they only worked the first time we went; I may be wrong but I THINK cyberspacemountain has gone which was another big draw

tbh we'll probably just have a nosey for an hour then leave the kids there while we go and look round the shops. Can't imagine dragging a 17 year old round world of disney!
