Just got one of these today
iPlayer - DS Video The first hardware Video Player for the Nintendo DS,Play AVI directly without converting. (http://www.dsiplayer.com/)
Now my son can watch films and listen to music without any converting on his DS!! That should keep him occupied on the plane for a while.
