Wednesday 23 September

We were up early as DD wanted to get to US/IOA as soon as she could. She said she was going 'Disney Crazy' and wanted a change of scene. I could quite happily have stayed at WDW and had booked this purely for her.

Breakfast..guess where  then taxi to the Hard Rock Hotel (cost $40 inc tip). We arrived at 9.30am and did not expect our room to be ready...but it was. No queue at check-in and we were given our room keys which are also your front of the line access passes. We were in a deluxe room, numbered 6041. It was huge overlooking the front of the hotel. We threw our bags down and headed straight out.

There is a beautiful walkway at the rear of the hotel, passed the pool which takes you to the entrance to US/CityWalk. It took no more than 7 minutes, pushing a wheelchair and was very enjoyable.

The park was fairly quiet. Headed straight for Rip Ride Rockit. As this is so new the FOTL access was not set up - there was only one standard queue. DD loved it but DH who does like the big coasters actuallythought it was very bumpy and took some ibuprofen as soon as he got off and refused to ride it again. We worked our way around the park, stopping for a below average lunch of burger and chips.

We then headed back to hotel to shower/change before walking back to CityWalk and had dinner at Margaritaville (not to mention a few Margaritas). Photographer took our photie which we bought for $20. Food was ok. DD and I had the jerk chicken and DH had the crab cakes.

We then had a walk round City Walk. DD got some 'Thing1' pyjamas in the Universal store. Lovely walk back to HRH. We got changed and went to the pool. There was a movie on at the pool. We had a swim. DH went to the Beach Bar and got ripped off for a couple of drinks. Swam till pool closed at 10pm.

Another lovely sunny day - no rain

Our friends were arriving today at Saratoga Springs - all 11 of them :wiggle:

How hard was it to leave the YC,even though you knew you were going back.

I didn't want to leave. DH and DD enjoyed it. It was nice to get back the next day :)

Hello,
When we went to Disney I had to use a wheelchair, very bad feet. I was surprised at how wonderful everyone was to me and my family. I did enjoy many of the rides and I am looking forward to our next trip. I do so enjoy Splash Mountain.

WDW are the best at looking after disabled guests. We feel like VIPs when we are there. They look after us so well and that is why we go time and time again :)

My DS loves Splash Mountain too :)
