Genuinely never seen one before! I think it must have been so confusing. 12 pennies to a shilling or something?

Steven's year have been looking at "old" money for their Victorian project and apparently only really old people have those notes. :rotfl:

Do you remember when it went metric I went to the sweet shops and fruit salads went from 2 for an old penny to 2 for 1 new pence and so therefore doubled overnight!! People committed suicide as they could not get use to the decimalisation.

Gosh the old days!!! I have some victorian pennies in a Jar!!!

We went decimal in Australia when I was 6 months old, so I don't remember pounds, shillings and pence here either. It was later in UK though I think?

That`s why our 50p coins have flat sides to them.
It`s so you can use a spanner to wrench them from the hand of a tight wad!

Mick if you find out that it's not worth much could I buy it as well as some of the coins from you? My daughter Diane collects money from other countries and she'd love to have them!!!
