What settings did you have the camera on? Did you use the flash?

I was in manual and f25 and slow shutter speed will have a look at exif data 2moro. Oh and put white balance on tungsten

Looks fabulous! I tried taking some and the flash washed it all out. I'm not great with manual...but I'm learning.

My dream lens is this 85mm Micro lens with vibration reduction, however it's $500.

I am looking at the 50mm standard lens. It's only $100. Great for portraits.

mmmmmm sounds good lol-

the most difficult bit is getting the focus right. Billie i was using my tamron 70-300 which doubles as a macro- pretty respectable actually for the price. You need to buy the 50mm - you will love it- going to try this week and take some of tree with it.

So then BC...per yours and Keith's recommendation, I'm getting the 50mm from Santa :)

What do I do with it when I get it?

:ROFL1:

i use it most for portraits- especially head shots. it's great in low light too because of the wide aperture.

it wasn't my macro lens lol it was my 18-55 IS kit lens- i used a tripod because of slow shutter speed

shutter speed 25
aperture 16
ISO 200
Tungsten White balance
