been umming and arghhing for months - i wanted a Mac for performance and aesthetics, Jon doesn't want a Mac - i dont really know why, he likes playing games on his PC and uses this as an excuse. Should i take a lower spec Mac or a high spec PC- should i get a laptop or a desktop. Well finally we decided and just ordered from John Lewis (2 year free guarantee and £200 off rrp) for pick up on Monday!

it is going to be fantastic for photo processing and also for Jon and we will share it and the laptop.

I'm sure the geeks want to know the spec so will cut and paste

we are going to get an upgrade to windows 7 too!

ah yes, it does get in the way of logical thinking and tech talk now and again sigh.

In fairness however,, purely or at least partially objectively, it is a heck of a pc by the look of it and with windows 7 on there, it'll be quickkkkkkkk

Just on the La Senza topic, close to our erm hearts as it obviously is, it's funny at the Trafford center one. You can see all us guys walking along with significant others and suddenly, you're in the doorway and surrounded by unmentionables :-O

Then there's the sudden halt at the door whilst the woman carries on, the check around "oh £@@£$ did anyone see me in this shop" followed by the "arghrhgrgh I cant just hang around in the doorway looking like a perv! need to go in and hide under a rail somewhere or get the heck out!!! ARGHGHG"

At the trafford centre, this is about the time you do a full 180 and prepare to get the heck outa there and you see.... two sets of benches, cunningly pointed right at the door, with about ten fellow men already sitting there looking defeated and trying desperately to hurry the females up without ACTUALLY LOOKING into the store. Sorta sideways quick glance and then eyes firmly back up in the air move.

Then finally she exits with a load of frilly bags and it's a mad dash to throw a WHSMITHS bag in front so no one can see whats been bought

*NOT that I've, you know, hung out outside there for any great length of time watching or anything! erm oh dear

So, this La Senza? It's like Victoria's Secret or Frederick's of Hollywood? Both shops designed for men, regardless of the items on offer.

Nice computer Brit. We were looking at laptops in Best Buy yesterday. Herself needs one quite badly. She found a Toshiba, but I'm the holdout! LOL. I know she really wants a Macbook pro, so we'll hang on until the pennies accumulate.

more victorias secret than Fredericks Tink- i think that is a little more adult than La Senza from what i can remember.

It's here!!!! and being set up. Have to say impressed with John Lewis, ordered 26th and could pick it up today after 2pm and the man insisted on carrying it to the car. I don't think i'll get to play tonight sadly
