We will be out there in a little while but quite worried about all the bugs
I get bitten enough at home so what can I get to stay safe and do we need anything for the room to stop bugs getting in
Nothing for the room, but do purchase repellent with DEET. Use it sparingly, but enough to keep them off. Wash clean the minute you are in for the night, and don't use a sunscreen/repellent mix.
Some folks aren't bothered, but most people are by the mosquitos and biting gnats.

Bugs like smelly things and they are especially attracted to women because of all the good smelling things we put on our head/hair and body. Take care with that or they will be all over you.

i usually use this (http://www.safariquip.co.uk/acatalog/mosquitomilk.jpg) which i used to purchase at a high street chemist beginning with B! can't find it on their website so not sure if they have still stock it? do a search, there a a few online chemists that stock it.
It was very good and does not require all over coverage...oh, and it's a roll on which i found much easier to use.

I use Boots the chemist " Repel insect repellent spray- extra strength tropical " which contains 50% deet and I also use their wipes.
I was always getting bitten but after using the wipes and spray I found I didnt get bitten at all.
The wipes are best to use because you can cover every bit of skin which you may miss using the spray.
I recommend them both very highly. :p015::p015:
Yes, wipes are really nice. Especially if you have children. You can better control where you put the repellent. I carry wipes (Deep Woods OFF!) in the car all the time.

I got bitten every trip until I started making up my own spray with essential oils and using it day and night. I always spray it around the room too. :D

We use boots insect repellent. Word of warning though. Keep the carrier bags away from your legs. I am often found with the disney print all over my legs.
