SO chuffed for the boy he passed with merit and took his exam when his Mum was down in Cornwall just after his Nanny died, he was understandably shaken yet still carried on and did himself proud.

He has let me record his pieces and more amazingly let me publish them despite not being note perfect ( which is something he has never done before, being the perfectionist he is)

Well done my son we are very very proud of you xx

Steven is well impressed with that and we are jumping around singing Top Cat. :D

PS - Steven is nearly ready for Grade 1 but his teacher and his parents have decided that at 6 years old he doesn't need to sit exams so we're waiting a bit for that to come along.

Too right , its about enjoying playing. Thomas didn't take grade 1 until he was 7 I think  but he was very ready then and he decided he wanted to we didn't push him, infact we were trying to talk him out of it

But on the other hand...

When Steven knocked his front tooth out the other day he was initially upset but then he cheered up immensely because soon his adult front teeth will appear and he can start the flute lessons that he covets. :D

Well done Thomas!

What's next? Perhaps some Gershwin?

Tom (:macwave:... who likes "Rhapsody in Blue" best!)
