So Adrian bought me an ipod touch for Christmas and I've only just figured out how to get it out of the packaging.

What does it do and how do I get it to do it?

I thought that an ipod touch meant that you just have to *touch* it and it works

It does EVERYTHING! It's an apple product :yes : leave it alone and it'll get the washing and ironing done all whilst playing some relaxing music for you :D

Or alternatively, set wifi up on it and browse the internet, get your email etc.

Attach it to itunes via usb and copy some music onto it :)

You have two options; auto-sync or manual sync.

I prefer manual so that I can manually manage my music (I often rip CD's for Dad to put on his iPod and don't want them on my iPhone).. but if you just want EVERYTHING on your iTunes library on your touch.. then an auto sync is good :)

To manually manage your music, audiobooks etc... click on your iPod item in the devices part of iTunes, and check the 'manually manage music and video' box.. then press sync so that it updates your setttings. That way you can drag-drop music onto your iPod.

Otherwise keep it on automatically sync and when you connect your iPod, just click sync and it will transfer songs between your iPod and computer so that your librarys match :)

Got it!

So far got my music on there, an audiobook thingy with 200 classic books on it and when I swing it around it sounds like a light sabre.

And Adrian has connected it to our network so I can Facebook from the cloakroom. :rotfl:

So when you say *cloakroom* do you mean you have a room full of cloaks? or do you mean something else?... any pics of you in the "cloakroom" would help us.

Surfing on the bog is a definite plus of the iphone/itouch range that has not been fully explored in its adverts as yet, you certainly cant take an imac into the loo with you :D

I've downloaded this space map thingy so now when I'm walking the dog and I see a shiny thing in the sky I point the itouch at it and it will apparently tell me what it is.

Are there Disney apps?

Oh... a few! :D

These are the ones that were actually created by Disney (http://itunes.apple.com/nl/artist/walt-disney/id284888248)

There are others. Just search in iTunes for Disney then choose the Apps section of the results.
