Florida Tourist Attractions (http://www.roadsideamerica.com/location/fl)

For those who may be looking for something a bit different than the usual theme park experience. :D

Not limited to Florida, the site encompasses other states, as well.

I found quite a few places to be pretty interesting! Weird...but interesting.

Well cool. We're planning a visit to TN next month, maybe we'll find something cool to see!

I would love to have time to visit other things in the Orlando area but even after as many trips to WDW that we have taken, we still find it hard to leave & do other things. I guess it says a lot about the place that we're still that entertained there, lol.

If anyone is interested in cars there was a museum in Naples, Collier Automotive Museum. I don't know if it's still there, I *am* going back a very long time now!

At the time they had an excellent collection of cars

I noticed too, when browsing that there is a Big Daddy Don Garlitz Museum! :D

Don was a racer of "rail" cars back in the day... drag racing, with a particular type of car.

It's amazing all the little nooks and crannies of neat things to do...

Did anyone see the (I think Lake Wales?) Florida place where the cars roll UP hill?

No, but remember we did that in a road in Ireland....The Magic Road by The Fairy Tree, it was amazing and hilarious!

No, Becca I'm sure it's my confusing the local Ocoee (town) with the TN river.

Oooh! In Ireland too! :9: That's cool, Mairead!

years ago I stayed at the Carlsbad Resort with my Mom and Dad, it was our first trip to Florida and we went to a place called Carlsbad Caverns. Does anyone know if it's still there?

Carlsbad Caverns? Yep. I've heard of it, but it's in Florida? (Says She of the Geographically Challenged Club).

Carlsbad is in New Mexico. I've been down the caverns and they most definitely were not in Florida.

The Ocoee River in TN. It's where they held the white water events for the Atlanta olympics. I rafted down it and survived in 1991. :D
