Main Street Electrical Parade Returns to Disney World - Summer 2010

Today, Disney announced that one of its most beloved shows, the Main Street Electrical Parade, will be returning to the Magic Kingdom this summer. The classic attraction, which will debut in early June 2010, will feature new LED lights and audio technology and is expected to be better than ever.

The parade will be lead by Tinker Bell waving from the basket of a magical balloon aboard a newly designed float. The return of the Main Street Electrical Parade's is just part of the exciting new lineup Disney has in store as part of its Summer Nightastic! Additionally, guests can also expect new lighting effects and a new addition to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, as well as a special summer fireworks spectacular at the Magic Kingdom.

How bittersweet is this? Herself's Da loved the MSEP. :sigh: He used to wake us up int the morning by playing music from it when we would visit them. It will be wonderful to see again, but we'll miss him terribly. :sigh:

I think it's still Spectromagic but the Electric Parade is IMHO so much better. I absolutely love the music and it's just such fun

Yep, Spectro Magic it is, right now. Nice enough parade, but nothing compared to the ELP.

We saw it during it's last run in WDW on Thanksgiving night... what a madhouse, but it was worth it.

:sorry: I love the music to Spectro though and can never find it in the stores. MSELP is wonderful too, wonder if they'll have the original music?

Did anyone hear it rumored that Wishes will end though for this parade ? If so, gutted .

I think the last time I saw MSEP was while at Disneyland in 2005 & it had changed names to ELP. It was at California Adventure.

I love them both but I think I may actually be partial to Spectromagic simply because it's the one I saw first which I think always gives things a special place. Also, not sure how anyone would know this, but it seems to me MSEP is a bit shorter of a parade than Spectro. At least I remember when seeing it in Cali thinking 'wow, what a short parade!'.

Someone said they are looking for the music. Try ebay maybe. I have one (er, maybe had as it may have been one from the fire I couldn't salvage) & I'm not sure but think that's where I got mine.
