Last year our flydrive in August cost the same as a whole package staying at Port Orleans Riverside with car/insurance etc in October. :sigh:

Our dates are fixed leaving 18th August and returning 4th September.
The prices are from the VA website.

We're flying to Ny as it worked out cheaper than flying direct to Orlando and we get to stay in NY for 4 days so it's like a mini holiday in a holiday.
Try Expedia or opodo and see if you can come up with something better or drop Kim at Premier Travel a PM and she'll get you a price.

never book from the va site direct diane, they are way too expensive, try a third party
my october flight for this year[not going now of course tho] were £422 from our own PT
Try shopping around for a quote. The place I used (can't mention 'cos not a site sponsor) undercut my next best quote by nearly £1000 for 5 people on a 2 week flydrive package in the middle of August. I'll never book direct with VA again after this.

Its a complete rip off flying inthe holidays - we have got them for less in PE in January - by some considerable way!

It's great working in a college and getting the holidays but it stinks when you actually want to go away anywhere and you have to pay extortionate prices for everything

Can`t you use any VA Flying Club Miles Diane?
We are paying far less than that to fly out UC in April using a Miles + Money deal.
It may be worth a call to VA and speak to someone there rather than booking via the website.

There's nothing available on the dates we are travelling in economy....school holidays again  Our dates are fixed.
We can upgrade to PE at £1189 each or UC at £1833 both using points plus cash.
Actually, economy has dropped in price today to £825 per person.

Prices are like it for most flights. i have played around with New York in June and they come up to over £1000 each. I booked with travel company in the end and we have flights and 4* hotel for £1398.00 for both of us

if it was me i'd watch the prices like a hawk and leave it till they come down to a reasonable price, could be quite nerve racking though!
