Every year at Easter, my DW and I buy each other some candy. Of course all of it MUST have an Easter theme or wrapper.

Well, my DW has a weakness for Peeps. Those disgusting yellow or blue or green colored marshmallow chicks or bunnies or whatever. :blech:

If you haven't seen them, this is what they look like:

Well, this year, they've got something new. It's these chocolate covered marshmallow chicks. Here's what they look like:

So... she's all excited and decides to eat one. That's when I about lost it. I expected to see nice, white, fluffy marshmallow filling inside. What there was instead was this (scroll down):

You be the judge!

I really did think it was going to make me throw up just a little bit! :blech:

LOLOL! I saw those on the market, too Catrancher. I don't like Peeps, so didn't buy them. We just bought one of the single box rows because after all, even if you don't eat them, what's Easter without Peeps?

I would have expected the white too, but if you think about it, traditional Peeps are yellow so it does follow...

yuck!

My parents love Peeps. They would put them in our Easter baskets so they could have them!

In some cultures I think that would be considered child abuse!

I don't eat marshmallows cos of the gelatine in them but I did find this on youtube;

Perhaps this is easier than burying them?!

Hmm... don't think so Josh. This way, they just appear to get bigger and then turn into a gelatinous mess. You've still got to get rid of the body!

Besides, I don't see me gently poking a molten Peep!

Oh Gawd! I laughed till I cried!

Thanks for that Becca!

My DW thought I had gone completely off my trolley! :mental:

Much as I dislike Peeps, I can't quite wrap my mind around executing them by decapitation! Kinda reminds me of 18th century France. :jawdrop:

BTW - did you happen to see the one referenced on that page about the Peepza?

Did you see the deep fried ones...there is a picture of the inside once they have been fried. I almost lost my breakfast.

No. Fortunately I've been spared that indignity! :blech:

Tom (:macwave:... I'm beginning to feel a bit of sympathy toward the poor Peeps!)

Don't look Tom, you will be scarred for life. Once you see something, you can never un-see it.
