What will you be doing on those two days or does that depend on the resort choice first?

Will you be going to any of the restaurants?

mainly just fireworks and parks were staying on disney all week not going anywhere else except to eat offsite :)

Any park preference though? obviously if you really want to see illuminations, whether from room or at the park, the Dolphin is better. For MK the grand floridian would be great.

While I love GF, I love the location of the Dolphin! That made my choice.

we took video of wishes from our room at GF as well as going there to watch but we havent done illuminations at epcot as yet so thats the pull towards dolphin

A MK view from the GF will be MUCH more expensive than an Illuminations view at the Dolphin.

BUT the GF is much more 'Disney' and its on the monorail so you have the MK and Epcot justoutise the door

I agree with Skywatcher! For me GF looks wonderful compared to Dolphin...

I`d opt for the GF [no surprises there then!]
I personally feel as though the Swan/Dolphin complex has more of a "business" feel to it rather than the GF which is more Disney oriented.
Having said that, the Blue Zoo is always on our list of must do restaurants.

The dolphin really does have a more business feel to it as Slowhand says above however its also a bargain considering where it is. We had a very normal grand floridian room out by the narcoosee restaurant and being honest it could have been just any hotel once we were out there.

I've stayed at the Dolphin and yes, it does have that business feel, but besides location it also has a 24 hour counter service area and the best hotel beds.

Can`t comment on the bed issue although I`ve no complaints with those at the GF, which also has a 24 hour counter service eatery in Gasparilla`s.

It's a lovely hotel and trust me, you will be totally sold on the beds!

It is a great, great location! You will love strolling around the circle of resorts and the very nice walk to EPCOT. The walk to DHS is good too!

I really like that area over all the other locations at WDW.
