Hi Everyone!!

I am new to this site, but not to Disney. This August will be our 3rd year in a row at Walt Disney World (usually the bounce back offer is too hard to resist ). Next year we hope to try a Disney Cruise! Anyway, this year we will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We have one dd who is 10 and we always celebrate our anniversary while we are there!

Have a great day!:shy:

 Hi and welcome to Secrets.

We will also be there in August and also have been for the last 7 years - we're stuck with school holidays and they always hike up the flights

Enjoy your planning and ask about anything you need help with

We usually stay the week before labor day. It is not busy at all! My dd doesn't go back to school until after Labor Day so it's perfect! We have all of our reservations (we like to try new places every year, we haven't gone back to the same place yet-except if we did a breakfast and now doing a dinner). This is what we are doing this trip:

Cinderella's Royal Table
Ohana (dinner did Breakfast last year)
Le Cellier
Liberty Tree Tavern
The Plaza (for Lunch dh is dying to do that)
Crystal Palace (did it for dinner last year but trying for breakfast before the park opens so we can walk down main street when it's empty!)
The Garden Grill

This is also our first year driving down. I hate flying so I have decided to drive it. It will take us 18 hours but hopefully we won't want to kill each other by the time we get to Disney!:slap: We are going to take it slow and start out a few days before and see some sights.

Sounds like you'll be there the same time as us. Pleased to hear it isn't too crowded that week

Welcome brizmom

An early breakfast at Crystal Palace is perfect - we go every trip on our first morning

I'm so glad Crystal Palace is good morning choice! I was going to do Cinderella's Royal Table in the AM like that but I heard Crystal Palace is better. I want to get some good photos on a not so crowded main street.
So excited!

You MUST try a Disney Cruise.

Slowhand--I am really pushing for the 4 day cruise on the wonder next year. It looks like so much fun. I'm just concerned about how much fun my dd who will be 11 will have.

Well I decided to stay an extra day in Orlando but not in Disney. We are trying the Nicktoons resort. I think dd will have fun getting slimed!

Although we don`t have any children, I can guarantee that your dd would have a ball.
There are loads of activities on board for children and she would be bound to make some friends on board.
Your only regret will be that you would have wished for a longer cruise believe me.

What Slowhand said!

We've been on 3 DCL cruises. All of them 7 days on the Magic.

On our last cruise, we met some parents as soon as we got on the ship who were quite concerned their daughter wouldn't have a very good time since she was quite shy. By mid-cruise, we saw them again and they told us they couldn't believe how their daughter had come out of her shell.

She was having such a good time that their only concern now was how they were going to get her to leave the ship when the cruise was over!

Oh... and :spraywelcome: to Secrets!
