Not actually a snake but it's a slow worm that I found in our garden. Only a baby one. We've always had them in our garden and they are really cool for keeping the slug population down. Luckily I spotted this one and moved it to safety before the dog got a sniff.

Again please forgive me for timing of this submission, but thought ya'll wouldn't mind it too much if I contributed to this thread.

Yet another from AK in 2006. This is a momma grizzly bear and her playful cub. There were about 200 people at this bus stop in Denali Park. It is a rest area along a river. You could hear a pin drop. The only sound you heard were from the cameras clicking (or fake digital sound of clicking)
Particulars:
Camera: Fujifilm S5000
ISO:auto 160
speed: 1/400 sec
f stop:4.5
lens setting: 57 mm SLR equivalent 384 mm

Every time I read AK I think Animal Kingdom. My first thought was, "there are no grizzlies in AK!"

NICE photos and of course we don't mind that you are posting them! As you can tell, we are all photophiles here. :D (Is that a word)?

It was a wonderful place! We saw most of the big animals on the list: moose (bull, cow and calf), caribou, raindeer, daal sheep, golden eagle, arctic fox, ptarmigin, everything but the wolves. Denali is something everyone should see. Oh yeah, and the grizzlies too.

Thanks a lot Tink.
Here are some of a white tiger shot through a fence at West Midland Safari Park in Kiddeminster a few years ago.

I tried to blur the fence, to keep the sharpness of the animal. Quite difficult with the size of the fence mesh to keep this baby inside.

Oh my gosh! The tiger photos are absolutely incredible! It looks like you were just steps away. Can't see the fence at all!

I always end up with a clear shot of the fence, and the subject beyond, blurred. :(
