Just thought of another question as well, are you allowed to film while on the roller coasters as Disney and also at Busch Gardens etc. I know here in the UK the attendants have a minor fit if you so much as look like you may want to film something but have seen loads of video footage from rides like expedition everest etc that I want to film this year myself as got a new small camera? Any advice, tips, secrets most appreciated

There will be restrictions on filming and photography. Most of it is "no flash photography" and if you go ahead and use your flash you will upset EVERYONE greatly! :mental:

But, if you think you can get a shot with the conditions and lighting as it is, then you should be ok. There will be requests for no photography or recording (video or otherwise) with some performers, but that's about it.

I doubt whether you would get any good filming on any of the coasters!
I tried it on our first trip to WDW [on Thunder Mountain Railroad] but it was way too shaky to hold the camera steady.

Thanks guys I've filmed on most of the rides before but was wondering more about the likes of Big Thunder Mountain and Expedition Everest if the cast members actually mind you holding a camera while on the ride. in this country the staff would have a fit

I will have to show my son that video. He still hasn't forgiven me for dragging him on it last year http://wdisneysecrets.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

I loathe it when people use their flash when the announcer specifically says, "NO FLASH!" I'm a stickler for rules when it comes to other people's enjoyment. Don't use the flash in Spaceship Earth! I'll kick your butt! Now, if no one's around...anything goes! HAHA!
