Lisa and I had arranged for me to go down to hers for the first showing on the 8/9th at Midnight but they are showing it the weekend before. Couldn't change it because we booked tickets for Wicked on the 9th. So i'm taking Caitlin on the first weekend- she doesnt' know- told her we're going shopping

Eclipse was my favourite book of the series! I've never 'got' the Twilight thing, but I started reading one and then 2 weeks later I'd finished all 4 and seen the first two films :rotfl:

I'm not looking forward to breaking dawn being a film, though :sigh: It's an *alright* book but will make a terrible film.

Breaking Dawn was my favourite

Really?! I thought Bella's second 'book' was *really* rushed and left a lot that wasn't answered very well. All the questions where pretty much answered but I found it a bit rushed. Meyer's style of writing annoyed me throughout the whole books but the story is what gripped me, she's an excellent story teller. However, I just think the story in breaking dawn isn't the strongest

It was the one that gripped me the most after twilight. I guess I liked them all for different reasons, don't really remember what happens in eclipse, which is good really as it will be a surprise! Lol

Eclipse is my favourite book by far - feel it is the most 'involved' book, I liked Breaking Dawn but it is probably my least favourite, think the ending is all rather rushed and it didn't 'feel' the same as the other books - can't wait to see what they do with it though, lots of the scenes could be rather ... er... interesting!

They should make a tween version and an adult version :)

Breaking Dawn was a real anti climax for me. And parts of the plot were so obvious you could see them coming 100 pages out.

I'm still Team Seth. :D

Agreed. I also hate bella. All she does is moan that Edward isn't there, then when he is, she moans that Jacob isn't there.

about 100 pages could be cut that are basically just Bella being a stroppy teen.

i guess i just liked the idea of living in a cottage in the forest with Edward:tongue:

I went to see the movie today! I was super stoked as the 3rd was my favorite of the books. It did not disappoint and I feel that it is the best of the 3 movies.

Frankly, I thought the last book was just plain ol' weird.

ok well the book was about a gazillion times better than that. I really think whoever wrote the screenplay had trouble putting all the significant moments into the film. The first hour and a half felt slow and full of disjointed scenes trying to set the scene for the final half hour.

They're also running into trouble trying to convert from the first person narration in the books through to the film style.

I know everyone will love it and I want to watch it again  but not nearly as good as it should have been IMHO

Loved the film and the eye candy. Be still my beating heart lol, however I feel cheated by the special effects, the snowy scenes were poor and looked very low budget. Is it just me or does seeing it on the big screen just not look that good anymore. We just bought an LCD HD TV a month ago, maybe it's because at home it's such good quality now!

The one snow scene looked pretty bad. I instantly thought soundstage.

keith

honestly I felt it was a let down technically as a film. The director really made a mess of it IMHO.

As a story of course I loved it :)

They're going to need to sack the director (again) before breaking dawn because if they made such a poor job of Eclipse, they'll be in REAL trouble with breaking dawn

And see, I liked this director more than the others and I enjoyed the feel of the movie. I was just disappointed with the snow scenes visually.

I saw it last night. While I enjoyed it, I did think the first half was rushed so that they could fit more of the fighting in. It jumped around a lot at the beginning and felt a little disjointed. Don't get me wrong, loved the film, but im with Keith, it could have been done better. Will definately be seeing it again, twice probably!!

Alice is mega cool

The actress who plays Alice also seems to be the most "into" Twilight. Some of the interviews with her have been brilliant
