Ive just been reading that the giant blue hat at the studios will be removed soon!!! I never liked that thing really, I mean EPCOT has the ball, Magic Kingdom has the castle, animal kingdom has the tree of life but that silly hat
Do you like it or will you be glad to see it go?

I agree with you guys, DHS is the home of Sorcerer Mickey.....including his hat.

I heard some people discussing this last time I was at the studios. The rumour was the hat would be used as an advert for a new film then taken away and the water tower would be the new park icon

 oh, I suppose you do associate the tower with the park but it isn't nearly as magnificent as the hat.....in my opinion.
You see all of the icons just after you enter the parks at the moment and you know you're there.

I don't like the hat. I liked it when you entered the studios and could see all the way down to the Chinese Theater.
Ive only ever known the hat to be there so id be sad to see it go :(

I agree, since its opened its had theCHinese theatre and the watertower as icons, then they stuck the hat there and it completely spoiled the whole image of early cinema that the park was built to capture.
I'll be glad to see the back of it , its gaudy and pointless
like the hand on the epcot ball was

I remember when you could look straight down the street at the theater. However, the hat has become an icon, it also houses the main pin station at DHS, so I would hate to see it go.

Noooooo, they can't take the hat down . It will look so empty . I remember before it was there and it just adds to the magic .

Hate it. It's been irritating me since they dumped it right in front of the beautiful Theater frontage.
I liked it when you entered the studios and could see all the way down to the Chinese Theater.
I agree. It was such a lovely entrance view.
