Still doesn't really address the issue that 80% of video is currently in a flash embed at the moment

Patience Grasshopper!
It's almost dead. At least it's not feeling well. It's just pining for the fjords! :mental:
Seriously, with HTML5, if everyone can come to some kind of agreement on video codec's, Flash will have outlived it's usefullness. Now, since Google's bought O2 and is going to make their VP8 codec open source, I think there's a better than even chance that people will start adopting the VP8 codec (at least as one of the major ones, H264 being another) with HTML5 as the delivery mechanism. I look for Youtube to go to HTML5 with VP8 before all is said and done. And as goes Youtube, so goes the rest of the known universe.
At least that's what I believe will happen within the rather limited confines of my mind.
Tom (:macwave:... non-standard standards!)

Well, this oughta help drive the nails into the Flash coffin!
Microsoft has joined the fray. And... they've come down on the same side as Apple has. :mental:
See this article in MacWorld. (http://www.macworld.com/article/150960/2010/04/microsoft_flash_html5.html?lsrc=rss_main)
Sorry, Adobe! Methinks Flash has seen better days! :laugh2:
Tom (:macwave:... I can live with H264!)
