Not at the moment but after Mr Jobs' statement the other day it has becomoe clear that flash has serious limitations on portable devices and will soon be an outmoded technology - it is a sticking point for me also but I feel a change is a comin ' :D

Agreed. For instance, normally Youtube serves up Flash video on their web site. You can opt for HTML5 if you'd like instead of Flash. They're trying that out. This is for your PC.
But for mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, etc), they stream video differently. It's not Flash based. Without getting into what it actually is, suffice it to say that YouTube (and their parent, Google) realized that Flash was not practical on mobile devices back in 2007.
So, to answer your question, no. There's no real alternative to Flash right now. Especially for mobile devices. However, most everyone (except Adobe) feels that the future is HTML5 and some video codec. H264 is being mentioned. And believe it or not, not only is this a published stance by Apple, it's also been published and embraced by Microsoft. How bout that! Apple and Microsoft actually agree on something! :mental:
Tom (:macwave:... hope this helps!)
