Apple do out of warranty replacement for less than the price of buying a new one if he takes it into the apple store :yes: The other option is to send it away but depending on which nano it is it's never usually worth the cost when compared to buying a new iPod.

Here's the price tariff;
Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing (http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/#uk)

They are single-sealed units so they always replace them on the spot.

Try burying it in a bag of uncooked rice for at least two or three days, before doing anything else with it.

My phone that went swimming in the toilet was rescued with that technique. :yes:

Can't hurt to try!

If it's been turned on and used since though I'd say the damage was pretty much done. No harm in trying though.

Well screens are generally more sensitive than other parts when it comes to water damage (at least in my experience) :yes: Hopefully you'll get a replacement :)
