iPad futher delayed ???

A few sources are saying that as demand soars in the US a further delay to the UK release is 'a definite possibility'. Apparently Jobs has said that currently 'demand outstrips supply'

Im not seeing a credible source for this though, just pure speculation. Sadly I wouldn't put it past them to continue to favour the US market but if I was to put money on it, I'd bet we're still on track for may 10 preorder and end of may delivery :yes: All the signs are there really. If you look at how many they can make a month, I dont think you'd see dribbles going into apple stores in the US, I think if all the production was going there, you'd see plentiful supplies.

I'm pretty sure that they've been building up international stocks the last month

I phoned florida again today and neither store would let me pre-order and both stores said they were out of 3g and out of wifi :(

When I went to get mine on opening day, there were only a limited number. Fortunately, I was there early enough so that I was in the first group that actually got them. The ones after us were told they'd have more that afternoon. True to their word, they did and everybody who wanted one, got one.

Not to say that's what will happen. But I just don't think they really know what their inventory levels will look like in a week.

I would imagine if you preorder and pay for it - that it will be delivered by courier on the release date

I have my first therapy session on Friday 28th so if I could collect my ipad in the afternoon, it would be like a 'pat on my back' for going through the therapy!

There's no doubt at all that it will be available for delivery :yes: the only question is whether it will be available for collect at store (and my guess is yes but it's uncertain).

In terms of delivery, every apple product in the UK for as long as I can remember has been available for delivery as soon as you're able to place an order :yes:

If people are working etc, I would suspect that delivery option is not a good option for many people, if they are 'sensible' they would allow an option of collecting it from the store :yes:

Totally agree :yes:

However, whereas collect from store has been an option at new launch in the states, in the UK it hasn't always been so. In the UK it's ALWAYS had deliver to home but only sometimes reserve at store.
