thank you for all the pixie dust :hug2: at the moment he is still in hospital ....i havent plucked up the courage to go yet as im finding the whole thing hard to handle.

he knows he is really poorly as he told my nan he's knackered .... i just hope he doesnt give the fight up

17-06-2010, 10:33 AM
May I say this Tracy? Best to go and even if you are a totally blubbering mess, that's what he'll need. He'll be so very grateful that you went to see him, it honestly may give him that spark of energy he needs to rally. I've seen it happen! :hug2: Take care. :hug2: :pdust: :pdust: :pdust:

i feel that if i go to the hospital its like going to say goodbye and i dont want to say goodbye ........

i can barely get through a phone call with my nan let alone get through a visit with my grandad

ive never been good with things like this

i dont want my last memory of him to be lying in a hospital bed

17-06-2010, 11:02 AM
It won't be. :hug2: You aren't going to say "goodbye" you are going to say, "I love you." :hug2:

Do what works for you, Tracy. :hug2: It's only opinion from me, but it's your life, your heart, eh? :hug2:

Tracy I know you need to handle this in your own way, but I tend to agree with Tink.

It is better to go and see him now and tell him you love him, than to regret not going later. :hug2::hug2::hug2:

:hug2::hug2::hug2::hug2: prayers for you and your grandpa :hug2::hug2::hug2:

I agree with Tink and John. My grandpa was my everything. He died when I was 21. He looked so sick the last time I saw him. I knew he was sick and I was so shocked by it though. I didn't hug him. I was scared. I regret not doing it now :sorry:

Tracey, I am so very sorry sweetie . :hug2: My grandpa was everything to me too . He died when I was 8 and had no idea what death was . One afternoon I went to the funeral knocked on the door and asked if I could see him . I was only taken to the viewing and I was so upset, wasn't allowed at the funeral/graveside services . So in my young mind, he was still at the funeral parlor . My mom was worried sick and was relieved when callled . It was then that she told me he was an angel watching over me .
Your grandpa will not leave you either Tracey . He will live in your heart forever . I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers . :hug2:

Tracy my love, I'm so sorry :hug2::hug2:

Your Grandad will already know how much you love him, but to ease your own heart please go and see him, hug him and tell him how much you love him. :hug2::hug2:

i don't want to make you feel guilt but from my own experiences with aunties and uncles, i wish i'd done it when i had the chance you know? i don't want you you feel the same sweetie :hug2:
