I have been searching for a part-time position for about 9 months. I finally found one, I was hired during the interview. It will be at an office supply shop, like Staples, but not Staples.

I'm so nervous. I have just begun my last year of course work for my PsyD, so I still have 2 classes (after this summer), internship applications, and my dissertation to work on. Oh plus a weekly seminar.

Plus, I'm doing my practicum 2 days a week.

I hope I can handle it all. I'm nervous as all get out.

I'm sure you'll be fine and do a great job at the shop
When do you start?

Thank you! I have to go in tomorrow for an hour to complete paper work. Yesterday I went for my drug screen, plus there was a background check. I think I can pass both, I've worked for the Dept of Corrections before. ;)

Well done - that's great.

I'm sure things will all work out but if you think you are stretching yourself too much at some point, then don't over do things - you must have some time off for yourself... all work and no play is no good

Thank you everyone!

It will be so odd working for a place like this....I haven't had a job outside of my choice of education for many, many years now.

My new boss seems to appreciate my Master's degree in psychology, so that's a plus. I think some places have been intimidated (those outside the field).

Well done Billie! :wiggle: - I love stationary too, I could never work in Staples or the Disney Store as I would never bring home any wages!

Thank you!

They sell lots of stuff there. Everything from shredders to resume paper.
