For all you over there drooling with anticipation. You might be interested to know that Apple has now shipped at least some of the iPads going to the UK although the tracking information doesn't seem to indicate a delivery date! :mental:

Oh... and by the way... the international App store and iBook store is now open!

I wouldnt worry, in the us it happened the same way but everyones were held at ups so they'd arrive on the launch day... so I doubt it matters much whether it says shipped or not just yet

TNT are "ok" and they do a lot of apple work. They tend to subcontract out to "white van" people and thus the service can be variable :( can get a great one on time or could get the dreaded "undelivered due to time contraints" (too many packages, you live too far from his route and he wants to get home etc.)

UPS is a heck of a lot more reliable in my experience

HOWEVER that's not to say TNT never deliver on time... but in my experience it's 60% good 40% bad v UPS pretty much 100% good

yep totally :yes: I'm sure they've worked it out with the couriers to make sure they arrive on the day. They specifically promised that day which is something they don't usually do in the UK, so yep, I'm sure all will be well no matter which courier.

With greatest regret, I have asked them to deliver it on Friday not tomorrow boo hoo.

I asked last night if they can change the address for today delivery, they explained it is not possible to change the address.

However, if you explain it is work address perhaps they will be willing to be flexible?
