VA are having a new fleet of Airbus for flights to MCO.
From April/May 2011....

LGW from May 2011 the VS027/028 is an A330 on Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri.
Wed, Sat & Sun is back to the 747.
The VS015/016 and the VS049/050 will be a 747 regardless.

Man from April VS75/76 will be an A330, the VS73/74 (if flying) will still be the 747.

GLA the VS71 shall be an A330 from May.

really, so its going to be worse than on a jumbo people clambering for seats, not good.

why are they getting rid of the jumbos do you know?

There is a seat layout diagram here (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/allaboutus/ourfleet/index.jsp?type=10)Mick - hope it helps :D

It's not one of the double deckers, they can only use Heathrow at the moment as far as I know.

no i know its not a 380 they arent in service until around 2013 are they

still less seats means harder to get them unless they put another flight in there somewhere

I know, but this will give you an idea, there isn't an actual plane layout for Virgin at the moment.

There will be 109 economy seats from row 45 - 65 and it will have 9" seat back screens, there are 30 PE seats - row 20 - 25 and these will have 10.6" screens and UC will be at the front.

There will be less seats, which will mean less flying club seats and it will probably cost more money :(

I'll be surprised if they do use them for Orlando - the normal pattern is for all new aircraft to fly on the business routes mostly from Heathrow

As Diane said though, it does sound like it will be to Orlando at the moment, so who knows what the powers at be at Virgin will do

It does mean there will be less people, but it will probably also mean that because they have less seats, Virgin will charge more for them :sigh:

dont think they were filling the seats on those dates hence the fact there using a smaller plane

was meant to be flying at 10.25 now going at 11.00

The first of the planes isn't being delivered until Spring 2011, it sounds like there will be about 270 seats available.

On the 340-300 now there are about 250 seats and on the 747 there are about 390.
