Christmas Decorations?

How long do the Christmas decorations stay up after Christmas? Is it into the new year?

Yep, pretty sure they stay up for a bit of January

Last visit we were pretty tired of the Christmas decorations by around 9th Jan they were all gone.

I was just wondering about the first week as I want to skip the new year time.

I'm not sure how it is now but when we used to go between Christmas and New Year's, on January 2nd they'd start taking them down. :unsure:

Yes, they start to take them down on the 2nd, although there should be some left here and there. All will usually be gone by the end of that first week (whatever date that may end up being).

That depends. Sometimes they stop the show early on, sometimes they run it for nearly a week into January.

Hmm, this is not looking so good for my plans. My family and I want to make a trip in possible 1-2 years. My mothers to see the Christmas decorations badly, but I want to avoid the crowds of the holidays. We may have to sneek in after Christmas and just see how the new years crowds are. I don't want her to miss those decorations.

Could you go before Christmas? The week after Thanksgiving is usually quite slow and the decorations are up. :yes:

Nope, my mom works retail and there is no vacation allowed from Thanksgiving until after Christmas.
