Wow didnt see that coming but apparently le cellier is now the hardest reservation at Disney even harder than cinderellas royal table. People are phoning and booking it for every night of their vacations and then just turning up to the one they want and disney is considering making this restaurant have a credit card hold to stop the abuse of the system.
I never thought it was that good

We've only been able to book once in all our trips, couldn't get one this time for November either.
I have been lucky enough to get it every time and I must say all our meals have been great.

I DO agree with the creddit card hold. It would help with a lot of abuse with the current system.

:Iagree: I reckon they should take this approach at ALL of the WDW restaurants to lessen the risk of abusing the system.

I imagine that a credit card hold is coming soon for all reservations. It just seems near impossible to get reservations for certain restaurants. I also have a reservation for Le Celier in August.Le Celier used to be one of my faves but I feel the quality of the food has slipped a bit the pass few years.

I had wanted to eat at Le Cellier for the longest time and I finally got a chance when my mom was in town. We got lunch rezes and the food wasn't terrible but, we had a snotty waiter.
I met someone that had taken their granddaughter to CRT and she said it wasn't all that worth it. From other comments she made it sounded like the food wasn't all that much to write home about and not all the princesses made it around. She said they were going to do the Princess meal at Norway at Epcot and she said that she had heard good things about that Princess meal and that at least 4 princesses were guaranteed.
Sometimes all the hype is greater than the actual experience, isn't it?
We've not been to Le Cellier in a very long time, but did enjoy it each time we went. I've not ever liked the cheese soup though.
Never had an interest in CRT. :D I've heard much the same as you; that it's not great food, too crowded and the kids get their expectations set so high they are often disappointed.

I tend to get that way about things....if people talk it up too much then it never lives up to my expectations. The Twilight books come to mind as something I was disappointed in.
We had a TOP NOTCH server at Le Cellier this past trip. There were 6 of us and we had all sorts of changes and substitutions. He didn't write down a single thing and got everything right. Plus, he was very friendly.
We also had the GREAT pleasure of being in the restaurant with just a couple of other tables. It seems they were having a going away ceremony for the CM's who had completed their contract. Tons of other employees came in and they formed this huge circle and each talked about what a "life changing" experience this had been for them. I joked with the table that they were going to break out into O Canada. OMG they did! It was the most beautiful thing. I was crying and was truly pleased that they had allowed us to stay in and watch it

Well Done, Debbie 2 . We haven't ate at Le Celier in sometime . I did get an ADR Fantasmic package for August/September at MaMa Melrose and for the first time there was asked to put a CC hold . Perhaps, WDW dining is getting wise to double ADR's .
