Disney building 12th monorail

The Walt Disney World Resort has given the green light to Transportation to between work on Monorail 12. In the July 5th crash, the cabs of Monorail Pink and Purple were completely destroyed but the passenger cars directly behind the cab only sustained minor damage. In building Monorail 11 (Monorail Teal) WDW used the cabs and the six passenger cars the farthest away from the point of impact. The six passenger car closest to the point of impact have been fixed and are sitting in the Monorail garage. WDW is building two brand new cabs and will use the six passenger cars to build Monorail 12 to be put into service during WDW fiscal 1st quarter. (Oct-Dec 2010).

Rumour is that the color will be maroon as a tribute to Austin who died in the accident.

apparently it's not exactly in fitting with the colour scheme they use but they've asked the transportation cms and they've all been very positive naturally so there's hope it may be done :yes:

Why would maroon be a tribute?

It's the colour of the Queensland ruby league team so I wonder if it's also for Austin's favourite team?
