I'm sure it's happened to all of you at some stage - you're on a ride/attraction at a WDW park and everything comes to a standstill. You hear an announcement that the ride has stopped momentarily and to stay seated.
Which attraction would you love this to happen to and they actually have to turn all lighting on so that you can see all of the workings of the ride?
Or maybe you would never want this to happen

Argh hard one this :/ to some extent haunted mansion but then do I want to see it really :/ I know I'd love to wander round it on my own in the dark :D
On the backstage magic tour they showed us properly behind the scenes at the american adventure and that was fascinating to see the control computers and so on. Often lights on in the ride itself probably wouldn't be too interesting

Oh wow! How cool would THAT be?!?!
I actually don't think I would choose to see the "inner workings" of most of the attractions. Baleigh and I were stopped on Space Mountain a couple of years ago (pre-rehab)...after about ten minutes, they turned the lights on and in looking around, the amount of duct tape and low-tech effects of that ride actually frightened me a bit! I think I'm happier NOT KNOWING :)
I've seen Space Mountain with the lights on and it is a good reason to never go on it!

Me too we've seen space mountain from the tta with the lights on. But I'm really. Sad, I prefer the magic

For me I prefer unknown simply I like to feel the magic rather than 'knowing how things works'

Oh wow! How cool would THAT be?!?!
Remember a few years ago they selected people to have dinner in the haunted mansion! how beyond cool would that be
I would like to see inside the castle. You know, that apartment way up there that some lucky people have had the chance to stay in?
The closest I'll ever come though to that is having had an Executive Director who was invited to see the apartment. :sigh: I'll give him credit. He told Disney the date of the tour would have to be postponed until his granddaughter could get here (from Illinios).

Duct tape?
Indeed. And not pretty, shiny, Disney duct-tape either...just tatty old boring gray duct tape...
After they walked us off, they gave us a free pass to return when it was working...Baleigh wouldn't go near it the rest of the trip. When asked why by her brother she shuddered and said, "I've seen things, Andrew...scary things." LOL. Of course by the next trip she'd forgotten all about it :)

I'm still mentally scarred with what they did to the TTA whilst space mountain was being refurbed and the things I saw there!
TTA still not back to its old self either ;( awful soundtrack and about a minute of boring grey walls on the way out of space mountain! what the HECK are they thinking?

I've seen Space Mountain with the lights on from TTA. Also, waaaayyyy back in high school, a couple ornery friends and I got out of the Snow White ride and walked around (I think they've changed it since then) and for some reason, we didn't get in trouble.
It was a room where the track basically snaked back and forth so we got out, walked in a straight line, and got back in our cart. HAHA! I would not advise getting out and walking around ANY ride. We were dumb teens.

Oh, Keith. You and I are SOOOO in the same frame of mind here. TTA was totally ruined. WHY did they do that?

Gwennie, you never, ever fail to amaze me! I am totally shocked that all of you didn't get in trouble! Thank heaven you weren't hurt. As you say, teens... eh? Not the worst thing kids have ever done by any means.
I'm another mourner of the TTA. It's one of those silly attractions that we always do... mainly for the opportunity to rest! :D

Add me to that list!! (The TTA list, not the dumb teen list..although.... )
Sometimes I simply wonder what the "powers that be" are thinking...

hmm probly tower of terror.
Ive been on the haunted mansion twice - and both times its stopped and we've had to "remain seated" the message they play telling you this has some kind of spooky reference in it but i cant remember exactly what it said! Last time there were 3 of us squashed - and i mean squashed in a cart, and it stopped on the bit where you go up a slope, we were virtually laying down and were crying with laughter!!!
