Can I bring our own food and drink into the parks?

How do Disney look upon us bringing our own food and drink into the disney parks? will they confiscate it at the security check or is it ok to bring in a picnic?

They always used to say in the guides ' there is no sandwich detector' on the gates at Disney , we have always taken bottled drinks and sandwiches with us when we go as DS1 was so fussy

we've always taken sandwiches and drinks to the park, never been told we couldnt take them in.

We've taken full on picnics! :D Just don't bring in anything alcoholic or in a glass container and you should be fine. :yes:

Often, when they are having a look they'll make a joke about it and I"ll invite them to dinner/lunch! :D

US/IOA and Seaworld have different rules though, so don't cross over your parks. :D

Yep, they've never said anything to us. Like Tink said, as long as you aren't taking alcohol or glass bottles you should be fine.

I've taken water bottles and small granola bars into US/IOA and they didn't say anything but not a full meal.
