View Full Version : :-( my Dad is in hospital

15-08-2010, 04:00 PM
Just had a text message from Dad to say that the infection in his right foot is not getting better and he need to be admitted over night in order for the infection to be controlled.

He being stubborn, not letting me visiting him as it is about hour drive as he thinks it not serious enough to warrant a visit! Grrr :slap:

Maybe he's not feeling like company sweetie. Wait till he's home and feeling better and then take a drive to go visit him.

:sigh: Big hugs. He might not want visitors and rather than upsetting you and saying he doesn't want visitors, he might just want to rest. :pixiedust:

Just got text from Dad, he is in waiting room and he drove to the hospital! :jawdrop:

Give him one night in the hospital and then if they haven't released him, go see him anyway.

When have you ever listened to your Dad?

Tom (:macwave:... my daughter doesn't listen to me. Why should anyone elses kids?)

Yep, I'm with the "wait a bit, then go anyway" group. Let him have a few hours/day to himself and then go.

Hope the infection is brought under control fast! :hug2:

Oh no. :( I'm really sorry to hear that, Jeff. :hug2:

Is anyone talking about MRSA?

17-08-2010, 11:31 PM
:sorry:, Ihope it's not MRSA, that's what my brother has at the moment. How are his spirits Jeff?

18-08-2010, 12:38 PM
I am sorry to hear that are they giving him antibiotics by iv

18-08-2010, 01:15 PM
oh no, sorry to hear that Jeff. What started the infection in the first place? :hug2:

18-08-2010, 01:39 PM

Sorry could not find time to pop in this forum.

MRSA is all cleared thank goodness!

He had a small cut which got infected and for some reason it just got worse. They have agreed a course of action and he might go home this Friday afterall as they are attacking the infection really well.

Thanks for all of your kind thoughts
