Yes, I know we're crazy! :mental: But my mum really wants us to be in MK for New Years Eve.
I have made ADR for breakfast at CP 8.05am and dinner there at 6.10pm.
My question is.....what time should we get to the gates? I know we have to be there early, but what time is early?
Anyone been who can help?
Plan on being there for your breakfast and staying all day. You shouldn't have too much trouble with admission given the time of your ADR for breakfast.
It will be a lonnnnnng day, but you know what? You only live once and if she wants to do it, then go for it!

Thank you Sister Tink.
So do you think we'll be ok getting in for our breakfast?
I'm so worried that we're going to get there and not be able to get through the crowd.
Mum thinks that this will be the last time she travels far, due to her health ( I really hope she's wrong) so I want to make sure that she has exactly what she wants.
We know it will be crazy busy, so are prepared for that just as long as we can get in there :)
Your ADR is early, so I think you'll be ok. To be double dog safe, I'd check the park opening hour that day (it could be as early as 7:00 am) and plan on getting there at that time (fifteen minutes prior would see you at the gates to MK).
NYE with Disney is an amazing experience! We often do EPCOT on NYE for a couple of hours just for the energy that is there! We particularly like to visit the UK at "UK time" for the New Year. :D

If there are health issues maybe a wheelchair or scooter to help cope with the very long day.

Thank you Tinkfan (sorry I don't know your name) I have discussed this with mum and although she is quite reluctant, she hasn't totally dismissed the idea

We've done NYE at MK a couple of times. Got there for just after park opening and stayed right through to park closing.
The fireworks are AMAZING. I like them better than Epcot's NYE fireworks but we love the disco party at Epcot.

When we were there Christmas 2008 - New year 2009 the magic kingdom was closed by 11am and only opened it's gates again for about half an hour in the afternoon.
We chose to go to DHS. We went early in the morning, then home for a snooze to the hotel in the afternoon and back again at teatime for our ADR and on till the fireworks and live band at night. We loved DHS for hogmanay.
Hope you have as fab a time as we did. xx

It's Trish LOL! We rented one for my brother this spring , he wouldn't have been able to cope with so much walking. We rented from Apple in Orlando. The prices were great.
