A new photo backdrop for Donald Duck at Epcot’s Mexico pavilion has opened at Walt Disney World’s Epcot this weekend.

Matt Palm from the Orlando Sentinel was at Epcot over the weekend and saw the construction barrier around the backstage access path next to the Mexico pyramid had been removed.
The path has been used as a meet-and-greet location for Donald Duck and his fellow Caballeros — Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles — as well as outdoor performance space for Mariachi Cobre.
Now, there’s a temple-ruins backdrop in the area, with columns and statues in various states of disrepair, adding some old Mexico ambiance without distracting from the pyramid itself.
Donald was flying solo as he passed by, and he managed to get a quick picture before hurrying off to dinner.
