If you've got an iphone4 or an ipad, dont forget to link it to itunes to download the firmware updates from yesterday!

The iphone 4 one doesnt do much other than rearrange how it displays the signal bars but the ipad one lists a few more fixes

iOS 3.2.1 for the iPad, according to Apple, includes a number of fixes:

* Improved Wi-Fi connectivity
* Fixed an issue that could prevent copy and paste of single-page PDF attachments in Mail
* Addressed an issue that could cause video playback to freeze
* Improved reliability of video-out when using iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter
* Added Bing as an option for Safari's search field

thanks Keith will do

We have been uploading a wholeload of stuff to Lisas and the camera connector has been set up so you can only upload photos if it thinks its coming straight from a camera i.e the jpegs need to be in a sub folder on your sdcard or direct from the camera

Lisa tried putting Jpegs on a dongle and plugging it into the usb card - no
tried putting jpegs onto an sd card - no

what I had to do was take the sd card - take a blank photo in the canon so that it created all the folders on it then drag and drop them into the sub folder and it worked

I suspect this is not a bug though but a workaround to stop people adding 'memory' to an iPad but it is a pain and you might have thought that in thefuture it would at least be a way to connect to peripherals ( no doubt approved peripherals)

Fascinating I suspect that knowledge will save me hours of frustration at some future point!

Someone asked in the office yesterday if the usb camera connector would upload photos from a card reader. I said hmmm I kinda doubt it but we can try. I was amazed that it sucked everything in and really quickly too! Of course, the photos WERE all in folders straight from a camera so I guess that's why it worked!

You can transfer photo's from your iPhone to the iPad through the USB bit but don't know if you can get photos from your camera onto your iPhone, would be really handy if it did

They could effectively increase their audience by about 50% if they marketed it for the iPhone too!

Don't think they want to do that Josh. :nono:

This way, you NEED a iPhone to make calls. Now, you also NEED an iPad to store your pictures on.

Marketing at it's finest! (Or possibly a side effect of the Steve Jobs Reality Distortion Field)

Tom (:macwave:... I KNEW I should have bought that Apple stock when it was $23/share!)

Well I had a major issue with lisas iPad in the car yesterday when it 'forgot' the 15 films I put on it :dozey: she only had 4gb free so they were all in the memory but not showing in movies. Quick search of apple support says this is not an uncommon problem.

We could have done without that at that particular moment in time though

That happened to me Chris, I was well annoyed and restored everything. the cure? Go to videos and access the film from there then I could get into the iPod, strange!
