Annoying issue,

Synched 15 films to both ipads and they both looked good as soon as they were on. Then they just disappeared from Lisas even though the memory was still used up = still on iPad

Syched and resynched today, backed up and started again. Fiddled with all restrictions

Updated software

Still films on one iPad and none on the other

Not impressed at all - have added to a thread on the apple boards

Chris,

Did you to go to Settings->About->Video? Does it show any video count on the problematic iPad?

Tom (:macwave:... wonder where they went?)

have you tried to go through video icon?

Skywatcher

When it was working it showed 15 vids then one day it showed 1 then none ( in about)

Only ever access it through the video icon - is that what you mean Brit

Another thought. You said they played for one night on Lisa's iPad. Do you have all the sync parameters in iTunes set the same for both iPads?

Tom (:macwave:... just thinking out loud.)

On my iPod icon there is no video option

Not identical but we both have 'sync all movies'

The only differences are Lisa has some music and we have some diff apps

For Lisa's iPad, do you have the video options in iTunes set like the attached picture? Or do you have it set to sync selected movies?

I've got mine set to only sync checked movies.

Tom (:macwave:... still thinking!)

You may want to try like I've got mine. See attached picture.

Tom (:macwave:... maybe this time I'll remember to include the picture!)

I can't help at all (he says uselessly) but I think we're going to see this kind of thing whilst Apple try and transition us all from a files/folders approach to an appcentric "call up video and it shows everything video related" style.

It's gonna be some database somewhere that should be updated when a video is uploaded but gets corrupt/cuts off the list after one movie and my betting on the reason would be that the spotlight code, or similar. is being used to find em and when it fails to index on one movie, it doesnt go any further. so you have the movies taking up space on the device but cos they're not listed in the database, the apps can't see them.

None of which helps what sounds like a really nasty little bugette :/

The bizarre thing is they work on one pre and post update.

Maybe I'll try uploading to lisas one at a time
