Have you ever had any special character interactions that made you feel special - you know that little piece of Disney magic that brought a smile to your face.
Yes. I think I've told this story before but here goes...
Herself and I were in MK for early morning entry. Herself's mother was with us in a wheelchair.
We were walking along all alone over near Frontiertown (heading for POC) when we heard shuffling behind us.
It was MICKEY!!!!! We had him all to ourselves and boy did he make over Herself's Mom! She was like a little kid.

My mom absolutely LOVES Alice after the very long and involved conversation Alice had with her on her very first trip. It was awesome
When Seth was just a little guy (somewhere around 2 or so) he saw Mary Poppins and Alice together (in the UK at the World Showcase). He hugged and hugged and hugged Mary... she finally said, "Don't you want to hug Alice?" He said, "Nope I'm huggin YOU!" LOL.
He wasn't so impressed with Alice, but he sure loved Mary Poppins!
Then he met Tink at Christmas of 2008. Boy was he in LOOOOOVE!!! Still asks about her.
Maybe we'll go stand online to see her this week...

First time we went to WDW (with friends before kids) our friend was picked up and carried out of a restaurant by Jafar. Very funny, he was so tall and had her over his shoulder :point:

I remember dancing with Mickey in Epcot while DH used the camcorder - Mickey was twirling me around and finished off by kissing my hand
DH had a fab time in MK with Stitch and PUSH together where they all ended up doing the Saturday Night Fever dance

Awwwwwww I remember that photo
was broccoli involved
Oh while we were waiting in line for Steven's haircut the Country Bears run up and snatched Ellie's packet of crisps and ran away. She chased them around for ages while about 10,000 people laughed hysterically. They are always known now as the Naughty Bears in our family.
Awwwwwww I remember that photo
was broccoli involved
Broccoli smooshed into the face of a princess. :rotfl:

I had an evil idea the other day.
I've booked 1900 Park Faire for our last night dinner again and thought I'd sneak over to Cinderella's helper and tell them what happened last time and how cool it would be if Cinderella remembered that it was Steven that smooshed her with broccoli.

OMG, Steven would be devastated!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep! Evil - but funny!!
Well, only if she were kind about it. "You're not going to come at with the broccoli again, are you Prince?" :D That sort of thing. We'd not want the boy scarred for life!
(The day will arrive when he'll work out that it was his Mother who turned him in)! ;)

It was at the end of our holiday, a few trips ago, and we were having one last iced coffee in Sleepy Hollow.
I was sad. :lipwobble:
We stood up to go and then, from around the corner, Mickey appeared. He blew me a kiss and waved :earswave: , then hurried off back round the corner.
It was so magical, I've never forgotten that moment.:pigletspring:

I was mocked by Pluto :nono:
He made fun of my shirt and dropped to the floor "dead." I've never laughed so hard in my life.
A hug from Tigger was my happy moment, of course.

Posted this in another thread earlier this year (I think it was a thread started by Isafari too )
I just had one aboard the Magic last month. I was going to save it for the trip report for that day but I'll share here as well.
It was our last day at Castaway Cay. After we got back onboard the Magic we changed for dinner and then went up to Deck 10 to take photos and video. We have a digital camera but still have a Sony Hi 8 video camera that takes tape. While I was video taping the camera stalled and I thought maybe the battery was low. Not the case....I go to eject the tape and it had become unravelled. I tried fixing it topside but it was too windy and my finger was too big to roll it back up. I told my DW I was going to go back down to the stateroom to try and fix it.
I get on the forward elevators on Deck 10 to go back down to the stateroom and press Deck 5. The elevator stops on Deck 8. The door opens and there are a couple of kids there but no one seems to be getting on the elevator. So I figure someone is playing with the buttons when someone from the right puts their hand on the door to hold it open right before the door closes. It was one of the ships officers and he apologizes for the wait. I tell him no problem and figure they might be getting someone in a wheelchair or physically challenged.
All of a sudden Mickey Mouse walks around the corner and enters the elevator and the officer follows. Here I am with Mickey Mouse all to myself in an elevator and I have a busted camera. I am so stunned that I say "Hi Mick!" I have never called him "Mick" before so I asked him if it was okay that I call him Mick. The officer says to me that it looks like I'm having camera trouble and "Mick" points to the tape, places his hands to his face and shakes his head. I say "I think someone is telling me to go digital." The officer laughs and "Mick" laughs and puts his hand on my shoulder to console me. The elevator stops at Deck 5, the officer bids me farewell and "Mick" waves goodbye. I say thank you and to have a great night.
What a wonderful experience that was. I thought it was great that "Mick" never broke "character" even though I was an adult with no kids around. Maybe they just know that even though you are an adult, being on a Disney cruise means you're still a kid at heart.
