I had my 12 week scan today, was a big relief to see Bean :D
Sorry about pic quality, he was in an awkward position and would not move not matter what we tried

We 'may' have found out what is causing us so many problems; I have an amniotic band. The sonographer who is also a midwife wasn't too concerned about it, but it will mean that I have an extra scan at 32 weeks.
I am going to call my midwife in the morning though as I made the silly mistake of googling and it made me go
I also need to confirm with her that I am not high risk because of it and can still fly. I am obviously hoping that she says it is fine, but baby comes first.

Sorry if pic is too big :embarassed:

The photo is not too big! It's fine. Not sure what an amniotic band is, but I hope it doesn't end up complicating anything! I know you are looking forward to your holiday, but I also know that you will be fine with it if you can't go right now.

Looking forward to hearing good news! Thank you for sharing your little mite's first photo with us! :D

Thank you :)

I feel fine, well sort of, still very tired and sick but this has started to get a little better.

The band that is there isn't causing a problem at the moment and is not touching Bean
It could turn out to be there because of the previous surgery I have had, so could be quite harmless, this is what we are hoping for

I have another scan in November when we should find out more.

I don't know if I can fly yet, should be ok, but I am STILL waiting for midwife to look at scan report and let me know.

I can fly! I can fly! I can fly! I can fly!

Dr says there is no danger to Bean or me, but I MUST buy (and wear) flight socks.

Now I'm supposed to be flying in about 10 days, where on earth will I find shorts????

Cue Peter Pan music! :D :D :D That is such great news, Nicki!!!

If you can't find shorts there, wait until you get here. They are practically giving them away with the end of season sales.

Oh. Well then. That's a bit of a pickle...

Do you have time to mail order some?

Premium outlets is the closest to DTD. A cab to and from there shouldn't be too awfully much?

Are you staying onsite? I bought quite a few things from the Resort shop. They were good value, compared to UK prices.
Also, I think there are still clothing shops in DTD. :)

I think I may have to resort to ebay  just in case they don't have my size in resort / DTD
