Hooray. That horrible woman has been in court and charged with causing undue suffering to an animal. Fined 1500 and banned from owning an animal for 2 years:thumbsup:

Good!

(But I still think she should have been put in a bin....)

Good and I wish they charged her sooner.

Good news, although the BBC are reporting she was fined only 250. Prefer it to be 1500!

The article I read had her fined the 250 but paying costs that topped the 1500. Also they said five year ban... who really knows.

Apparently, she was under extreme stress as her Da was in hospital (and has since died) and she'd resigned her position of 27 years.

I'm trying not to be judgmental about her citing her Da's circumstances. :sigh:

It is hard to believe the people that automatically look for someone else to hurt when they are hurting. I do feel badly for her if her Father was ill, but I think if that is the case then she needs to be put into therapy. It is obvious that she doesn't know how to handle a stressful or emotional situation. :sigh:

We`ve all been in stressful situations and lost someone close to us, but I for one would never take it out on a defenseless animal under any circumstances.

Although I`m sorry for her loss, nevertheless I feel that she was using this as an excuse for a lenient punishment and she deserves all she got [and more] IMHO.

Yes, I have to admit that crossed my mind too, Slowhand. No one knows more than our members here what it means to be under extreme stress. To date, I don't know of any of us taking it out on any defenseless creature (maybe a husband or wife or two... ;) ).

Seriously, a poor cat?

I think she was forced to resign her position at the bank because customers said they would boycott it if she stayed.
