Yes, it's a type of salume. It's texture is like hard salami, but it's taste is quite different. It can be very spicy. I love it.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH....a true weakness of mine...I remember breakfast at my grandparents, we'd have gravy and biscuits...and then my grandpa and I would split the last biscuit...he'd sit me on his knee, put a pat of butter on the plate and then DROWN it in molasses syrup...take his fork, mix it all up and we'd dip and slurp...and giggle.

I did :yes: But I have tried several times (including night before last) to replicate it; but it just doesn't taste as good as when YOU do it :sigh;
