We were hoping to wake at a decent time since we did not get to the hotel till 10pm after a long day of traveling but no luck. We were wide awake at 5am, we decided at 6am to get up and make the most of the day.

We made our way to Faneuil hall and Quincy market. The heat hit us as we left the hotel and it was a lovely feeling after our rubbish summer we were having home here. The streets were empty which was a little strange after visiting NYC and Orlando. I had always wanted to visit Boston and hoping it would live up to my great expectations, i was not disappointed.

A very empty Quincy market. It was buzzing during sensible hours of the day.

We decided to find some were for breakfast and although i was happy to grab something in Quincy marker dh was not, snob. We were soon aware of the lack of diners we are so used to but eventually found some were to eat ( North 26 which is part of the Millennium Bostonian hotel) and sat outside to enjoy the heat. No photos sorry but dh had hashbrown and i had blueberry pancakes made with blue cornflour. They were not blue :d: but were super light and i actually managed to clear my plate and did not feel bloated. We paid $55 which included 2 coffee's, 2 juices and tip, not cheap but was good and service was excellent.

We made our way down to the wharf and to say the views were stunning is an understatement. We loved just hanging out here looking at the sea and people watching. We made our way to the ticket hut to collect our tickets for whale watching that we were doing on the Sunday. The sales girl was not helpful at all, i gave her our details as we had booked via Viator but she said it was not with them even without checking . We were directed to the other hut who said no its not us its the one we had come from. We made our way back and spoke to the other sales girl who instantly found our booking.

We decided to make our way to the back bay area by foot, for some strange reason i thought it was by the water . We think you can take so much more in by walking and we were not wrong.

Skywalk Observatory, this cost us $12 each and i am not sure if it were worth it to be honest. The views were good.

We made our way back to the hotel with very tired feet via Faneuil hall which was jam packed.

I don't think I've ever seen Quincy Market or Fanueil Hall that empty!
