I connected my iPhone to iTunes yesterday, expecting to get a couple of podcasts added on.
Instead, it completely deleted all of my music from the phone.... :hopmad:
So, does anyone know why that happened or how I can fix it? :cry1:
Also, if I have to start from scratch, can you tell me how to remove some of the albums that I have stored on iTunes?
Please use basic language if possible as I am very blonde. :D
Thank you. :)

MP,
When your iPhone is connected to your computer and you have iTunes running with your iPhone selected, you should have a window in front of you with a number of tabs across the top. They typically say: Summary, Info, Apps, Ringtones, Music, etc. The one labeled "Music". Does it look similar to the attached (this is mine on iTunes 10. Yours may be slightly different).
Is "Sync Music" checked on yours? If so, what about the radio buttons that say "Entire Music Library" or "Selected playlists, etc". Based on what you're saying, you should have "Sync Music" checked along with "Selected Playlists". Then it should be just a matter of checking off the playlists you want to sync like is shown in my second attachment.
Tom (:macwave:... how we doin' so far?)

It's dead. Deader than a dead thing on planet dead. :cry1:
It said there was a software update available so, like an idiot, I clicked...
After a very long process it ended with telling me, "an error has occurred"... Really? You think? :hissyfit:
So now it won't restore. I've tried several times.
It's dead......... :crywave:

It's not dead. It's pining for the fjords. :laughhard:
Seriously, make an appointment with the Genius at the Apple Store. Take it in and I bet they can get it working for you.

Good enough! As long as it's alive he should be able to get everything back on it for you. Glad you're getting it sorted!
