I love the show and got all the books last year for Christmas. I'm slowly but surely making my way through them. They are good. I just don't have as much time to read as I'd like...

I love the books and adore the show. I'm pleased that they are different enough that I don't sit around comparing them. I don't have HBO, so I have to wait for them to be released on dvd...I'm waiting for the third season to come to dvd.

:mental: I'm currently playing catch-up online as I've never watched it, but a friend recommended them to me and it's fantastic! I'm near the end of series 2 now.

I'm going to start watching Dexter after I've finished watching True Blood  I bought the first true-blood book yesterday too but I have 2 other books to finish before then. Can't wait for my last shift at my Christmas job tomorrow so I have tons of spare time before uni to read loads and watch loads of TV

Love them both...! I didn't even know what true Blood was, until Season 2 was about to start and people from work were organizing a Premier Party. I checked out the show and got hooked.

I was so so so sad at the end of Season 4 (Dexter) I was egging him on! I could not believe how I am egging on a serial killer!!!!!

Weird to have empathy for the serial killer.

I'm at the end of series 3 in True blood now, just one more episode to watch and it's A-MAZING. Cannot believe the revelation about Sookie! :thud:

The Sookie books are just fantastic...(well except for number 10, not sure what went wrong there). The new one is coming out this May.

Dexter is fantastic. It's not about blood and gore. Yes, he's a serial killer, but the show is about him, and is ability/desire to somewhat blend in and function as a "normal" citizen. I'm waiting to watch the 4th season.
